Spa/Mentoring Weekend
with Sally Clarkson & Sarah Mae!
Friendship and sharing life deeply with a kindred spirit is one of the gifts of life that God created to give us, as women, great pleasure.
Our hope is that as we launch Desperate: Hope for the Mom who needs to Breathe, that we will spark a movement of women who will develop deep friendships, loving understanding and sharing of ideals and support for the great task of motherhood.
We have schemed together to provide some wonderful giveaways aimed at helping moms that you will love. I hope a number of you will be so very blessed.

Thank you for this, Sally. Your first video completely lost sound at 1:32.
You have encouraged our hearts and I am excited for the book.
Thank you for all of the encouragement for those of us still in the trenches!
Thanks so much for being such a place of faithful encouragement. I’m excited about this book and the giveaway too!
Would love to win this!!! Sally- your books of changed my view and perspective on motherhood. They have helped me so much!
I can not wait to read this book AND to hear you both in California at Mom Heart!!!! Such great things to look forward to!
So excited for this book and can’t wait to read it!
Thank you so much for all your wonderful books. I already pre paid for the Kindle version and am just thrilled to start reading it. I did not have an example of motherhood, and your books have been one of the ways God has shown me what mothering looks like. What a blessing!
I can’t wait to read this book. Mainly I think I need it because I’m “desperate” to to learn how to be the Mom to my kids that God has called me to be. I feel so flawed, and I forget God can use me for His glory regardless of my shortcomings. Hoping this book will point me more in that direction!
Can’t wait to read the new book!
This sounds really wonderful. Hoping to get the book soon!
House Cleaning for a YEAR! You’re speaking my language.
I cannot wait to read the new book. I only wish you came closer with a Mom Heart conference. Two of my three children have severe, chronic medical issues. I am praying that in a year or two I will be able to leave them long enough to attend.
Would really enjoy the rest of the video if the sound wouldn’t have cut out
( Hopefully that will be fixed soon as I’m sure there’s lots of wisdom there for this mom of 6.
Exciting! You know the perfect giveaway that appeals to moms.
I need to read this book to remind myself of why I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. Faithful encouragement from others is hard to find, so I am looking forward to reading and learning!
I just discovered you YESTERDAY on Pinterest by watching your video about encouraging moms. Today, while at church, I wandered into the church bookstore here on Maui and asked if they had any books by Sally Clarkson. They had only one — “Desperate.” Upon quick inspection (aka “judging the book by its cover”
) I knew it was written just for me! Since this morning, I have devoured as much as it as humanly/maternally possible, between putting away the last of the Christmas decorations, washing that sink-full of dishes (yes, I just had to skip ahead to the “Cleaning” chapter), making a “home-cooked” pre-made Costco casserole, being Mama to my 4 little ones…among countless other tasks. I did not realize that he had just been released today! Divine purchase?! I would say so! Okay, God, you have my attention. Thank you for leading me to Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson and let my desperate Mama’s heart be open and receptive to the gift of wisdom and hope offered in their book to be the best Mama I can be for my precious children. Amen!
BTW, I forgot to mention, when I showed the book to my husband and after he read the back-cover, he said, “I need to read the one for dads.” Do you have any suggestions for the desperate daddy?
Also, have you ever considered extending your conference to Hawaii (Maui would be best!)?
I can’t wait to read this book! I know it will be a great source of encouragement for me
God Bless you 2 women! I just ordered it and can’t wait to start reading. As a mom with 3 under 5years old and 1 on the way and beginning homeschooling, I find myself suffocating. I’m so ready for air.
This book sounds like something I need to read because I feel like I’m desperate for guidance about being a good mother and wife.
I am pretty desperate with my 3rd child due in few weeks!
So excited to read this book!!! Thank you for your ministry and all your work for the kingdom!!! God bless you!
Looking forward to reading your book! Housecleaning for a year (or 6 months in my case
) sounds wonderful with baby #5 on the way.
Thanks!
Thank you Sally and Sarah for such an awesome book. I just bought the book at Barnes and Noble in New Jersey so that I can share it with a friend. Thank you!
I need this book for encouragement and for the wonderful words that Sally and Sarah share with every mom. This book has been a huge encouragement to me. Thank you Sally and Sarah.
I have already started reading this book and am enjoying it. Looking forward to Mom Heart in Dallas.
this is a blessing!
Just ordered the book from Amazon.com as a birthday gift for myself. Can’t wait to read it and soak in your wisdom and encouragement!
Blogged about it here http://www.dearlylovedmist.com/2013/01/sally-clarksons-new-book.html
I could use the encouragement. Especially since I’ll be adding a new little one to the mix this year.
I cannot wait to receive my book! All your books have changed my life (I have all of them). I know this one will, too. Thank you Sally and Sarah Mae!
Fun! Can’t wait to read Desperate!
Mariel
I can’t wait, sweet Sally and Sara Mae! It’s going to be a lovely book and a just the tool to reach more moms! Can’t wait to get a group up and going, with the Lord’s help to reach moms to be Desperate NO MORE! Love, Kellie
“Why do you need this book?”
Well, who doesn’t need someone honest and open (and fun!!) to relate to – like Sarah! And of course we all need a mentor, and who better to fill those shoes than someone as wise and friendly as you, Sally?
Plus, going through a really, really difficult time right now, it’s such a blessing to have this book to help keep my head in the right place and my attitude pointed in the right direction. Bless you both for writing it! ((((hugs))))
I am so excited to get this book!!!
I need this book because I need Christian support. I am waiting for a Titus 2 woman to come into my life!
So excited to read and share this book!
I am a mother of four, spanning in ages from 12 to 2… and started out as a teen mom. Wishing this book was available all those years ago, but so grateful it’s out NOW! Can’t wait to read. Thanks Sally & Sarah.
Thank you for these fun giveaways! I cannot wait to read this book!
Think this book would become an encouragement for me when feeling overwhelmed by the day to day responsibilities.
I am always saying to the moms at our cottage school, “We do this because we need each other, not because we have it all together. ” This book title says it all.
I am a SAHM that is desperate to do it God’s way and not my own.
P.S. I need this book because homeschooling 5 ages 4-16 is TOUGH! I am thankful and blessed to be their teacher, but it is hard. Your writings always encourage me, Sally, to make sure I use grace and that my heart is right with God. Thank you!
I NEED this book because I am the mom to 3 littles (almost 4, 2 1/2 and 10 months) my husband works 60-70 hours a week so I am home alone with my kids most of the time. I was at the bottom of the barrel a few months ago and then I was sent a reviewers copy of desperate, it was like someone tookmy heart and put it onto a page. It was amazing!
So excited to learn from this book!
I am so eager to get my hands on this book. It is going to trump all my other books piling up on my reading list. I have to say that I am a tad disappointed though – I have been watching all the lead up to launch week just to see that it is all for US residents only
Is there nothing for a poor Canadian excited to buy the book this week?
Congratulations on the launch – I know the book represents so much hard work, and I am thankful that you invest that work to bless women – mothers – like me. God bless.
I too am excited to read this book and hopefully study it with a group of moms (young ones and more experienced ones) from my church. I’m assuming that the giveaways are only open to US residents because of laws that make it more complicated to give things away acrosee the border? Is it at all possible for the many young Canadian moms to take advantage of any of the freebies? I was especially looking forward to the DVD study to use with our group — can this be made available as a digital copy online instead? The Spa/Mentoring weekend sounds amazing too! Still hoping that one year you might offer a Mom Heart conference in Ontario. Thanks for the book and your commitment to nurturing young moms — I do really appreciate all the work you do in this area. It is a huge blessing that you have been faithful to this call God placed on your life.
Really look forward to reading this
Review: http://www.elisapulliam.com/2013/01/07/not-quite-desperate-but-definitely-passionate/
Oh yes, I need house cleaning. While I can keep tidy enough, when it comes down to scrubbing my bad back and awful knees makes the chores downright painful. I’d love house cleaning for a year!
I have learned to take much joy in my days from reading your words of encouragement on your blog. Blessings to you.
So excited to read this! Love your books and teaching. I am leading moms groups at my church and I can’t wait to learn more to encourage them with.
I am so excited to begin reading this book. I am continually encouraged by your blog an Sarah Mae’s blog. I can’t wait for my copy to arrive!
I need this book because I am not perfect and we all feel like this at times; but I don’t want to stay in those times. I want to grow and want my children to grow in the process too.
I would love to get this book. I am in a season of really needing to look to The Lord for strength for each day–especially physical. I’m grateful that He works all things, even this, for my good.
Thank you so much for your ministry!!
What an awesome giveaway–and a great book–I cannot wait to read Desperate…we are all Desperate moms!
The word that God put on my heart to be my word for 2013 is “invest”. I’m using this word as a filter of sorts to weigh everything I do… Am I investing my time for eternity? Am I investing in growing in my relationship with God? Am I investing in the hearts of my husband and children? Am I investing in face-to-face relationships with other women? I am so excited about your new book because I know that if will be a wonderful encouragement as I daily, prayerfully make decisions about how and when and where I will invest myself.
So excited to read this!
I needed this book 12 years ago when my first was born! I want to encourage other moms who feel as alone as I did and still often do!
This is just a fabulous ministry!! Thank you for being so sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s prompting. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it, about y’all and how the Lord is bringing hope to those of us on this mothering journey.
I would like to read all of Sally’s books; they are always a blessing to me and my family!
I need this book because I know it will help me deepen my relationship with Christ.
I need fresh encouragement in this season! Can’t wait to read it!
I need the Spirit to breathe fresh air into my heart as we re-start school this week!
I need this book because I’m a desperate Mom of teens.
May the Lord bless you with renewed energy and faith this week – as you launch the book. And may many be blessed by what the book contains.
Excited about diving into it myself. And I just entered one of the giveaways! Blessings!
- Kate
I could use this book to help me take a step back and learn how to breathe and let go despite my situations in parenting.
I’m a new mom who is learning how to relax and trust God in this crazy, yet fun period of life. I would really love to read this book! I recently read your book, The Ministry of Motherhood, and was greatly impacted by it. That book, along with Desperate, are sure to be ones I will reference for years to come! Thanks
.
I have a friend who is reading your book to write a review. Excited to hear what she says about it! Would love to read this book myself as a mom who was in full time ministry but now a mom of 3 boys 3 & under I’m in need of some deep encouragement!! Taking each day at a time!
I am so excited for this book. I love and appreciate Sally’s books and blogs so much. I am excited to get more encouragement and very much needed guidance during these years with little ones. Thank you Sally for being there for those, like Sarah Mae, who are in desperate need of encouragement, guidance and mentoring!
Much needed encouragement!
I am a mom to 6 kids = I need this book!:)
I really need this book, especially now while my husband is deployed and I am being mom and dad, to help provide some guidance and a fresh perspective!
Can’t wait to read it. Thank you for all of your hard work and for all the encouragement.
I couldn’t wait until launch day, so I purchased the book last week. I was blessed tremendously by your honesty and encouragement. What a life changing book!
Because I’m a mom!!
Sounds like a wonderful, and much needed book. Can’t wait to purchase it. Have to wait for another couple days first (payday). Thank you for your ministry to us women!
I am desperate for this book! I am homeschooling 3 girls with a toddler running around. I am good to get dressed some days. I desperately want to be the mom they need, but realize this only comes through the Lord’s strength and power. Thank you for encouraging me!
I need this book because I need encouragement, and to know I’m not alone!
Really looking forward to reading this!
Thank you so much for these great opportunities and wonderful books! Your ministry has changed my heart for my children. Our home has never been the same! God Bless!
Can’t wait to get my hands on this new book! I love all of Sally’s books, so I am sure that this one will be no different.
Many of Sally’s books have ministered to me. I am guessing this one would be the same. My kids are 11, 9, 7, and 5. “nough said!
I’m in a new season. I am still homeschooling two boys (11 and 5) and have daughters with families of their own. Six grandchildren!! :0) I’m relearning how to balance it all! I am greatly encouraged by your words, Sally. Thank you for sharing your life and your heart for moms!
I pre-ordered the book and got it on Christmas Eve, but it took until this past weekend to have time to start reading it. I am only on chapter 4, but can tell this will be a book I have to read whenever I can because I can’t wait to see what it said next, then will go back and savor and work through the questions. I wish I’d had this book two or three years ago so I would not have made so many mistakes and had so much anger and frustration. I’ve been working through Whole Hearted Child and 24 Family Ways little by little (and got Read for the Heart for Christmas), but now will be searching out all of the Clarkson family books for my reading list.
Thank you so much for this book!! As a mother of 8 I think that says it all!!
Looking forward to reading “Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe”
Thank you Sally for reminding me to breathe! You are a godly mentor, Titus 2 woman in my life and I am so grateful for your Biblical encouragement to keep walking by faith! Looking forward to being together at the CA conference soon! Hugs and blessings! Xoxoxo
Your reasons for writing this book fully describe me! I couldn’t wait to be a Mom. I read parenting books before I was even married. I loved working with children and knew that parenting would be the best experience in life , and it is! HOWEVER, no one ever told me how hard it would be on all levels as well! I give God my all, yet fully need His grace and truth!
So very excited for these books to arrive at my door! Your conferences and books have changed my life and encouraged me year after year! Thank you for all you do Sally, and I am looking forward to the Dallas Conference in February with my Whole Heart!
Always encouraged by your books and excited about this new one. Excited to join you in Colorado in two weekends. Love the giveaways and boy would it be such a blessing to win the housecleaning for a year. What a blessing that would be to free up “chore” time to “family memory making” time.
As far as the book, any book bay Sally is a blessing on this journey of motherhood. Some days just reading a few pages is enough to restore my heart to the place God intended it to be and at this time of year, for a homeschooling mom, all the encouragement is a blessing.
I am looking forward to reading the book! Praying for God’s grace to be less desperate and despairing and more gracious, hopeful, full-of-faith, and loving as a homeschooling mom of 4 little ones.
So excited for the book and so very thankful for you and your ministry!
I’m so looking forward to reading this book as my days can often feel desperate with 3 boys (13, 11 and 9), homeschooling and forging the path of a child with autism. I am so very grateful for you Sally Clarkson!
This sounds like such a great book for Moms, I’m a Mom to three girls ages 13, 8 and 2 so its right up my alley
I can’t wait to get this book. I’m praying about starting a small group to go through this together with other Moms.
Looking forward to the Mom heart conference in Texas with my sweet cousin who introduced me to your books! Just ordered Desperate today <3
Ordered the book today. – it can’t get here fast enough! Because this morning is one of those mornings!!!!
I can use all the extra encouragement I can get .. look forward to being able to read this book!
I am tired and desperate, yet learning to walk by faith! Sally, your conference and books are sometimes the only things that keep me putting one for in front of the other to continue homeschooling my four children. Thank you for your faithfulness!
I can’t wait to read this book!!
Thank you so much for this gift you have offered us… I am hoping to start a Desperate Moms group here in our little town! Can’t wait to get my copy!
Best wishes on the launch of your new book – can’t wait to get my copy. Thinking it is a great idea about the house cleaning give away!
Sooooooooooo grateful for all of you and your support of our new book. We are having fun today because of you! Thanks for all of the well wishers. You are wonderful.
Looking forward to reading this book – we had a “desperate” morning.
My kids are school age and I just had a baby after 6 years. I feel like a brand new mom. It was tough to take care of the house and homeschool before. Now I’m not sure how I’m going to do it all! I know I can, by God’s strength, but I do feel a bit overwhelmed. I am so grateful to you and Sarah Mae for this book. I’m loving it so far!
Why do I need this book? Oh, the title says it all!
As a homeschooling mommy of 4 little ones (6,4,2, nearly 1), there are many times I feel desperate!
I’m desperate for the Lord and His peace and guidance as I’ve discovered motherhood, keeping home, and being a godly wife is not an “easy” task!
I am so excited to read this book. Being a mom of a newborn and a toddler, I am Desperate! I love your blog and find it very uplifting in this world of ours. Blessings!
As a stay-at-home mom of 4 boys 6 and under, it doesn’t take much for things to start feeling desperate around here. I often question if I’m even qualified for this “job” of mine. I’m all for any kind of encouragement I can find!
I have been reading your blog for a few months, and it has been such a source of encouragement and challenge. Thank you! I look forward to reading this new book.
I am so excited about reading this book. I’ve ordered 5 and can’t wait to read it with a group of women. Thank you so much, Sally and Sarah Mae for reaching out and helping the rest of us.
Just the title of this book speaks to me. Thanks for writing it; I can’t wait to read it.
I would love to read this book. I have often felt desperate in mothering and would like to do a book study with it to encourage other moms.
Why do I need this book? A little over two years ago we moved to a new state, leaving a beloved church family and community of strong believers and great friends. At the time I had a 19 month old girl and a 7 week old boy. Our new home is in a ‘retirement town’ and most of my neighborhood and church is made up of people over 60…in fact my kids have been the only ones in the church nursery for most of our time here. In addition to my 2 and 3 year old, I now have another son who is 9 weeks and is battling colic. Life is just hard. I’m desperate for friends. For heart fellowship. For a trustworthy babysitter. For SLEEP! Coming from a place where young mothers were everywhere and the church was the village that helped raise everyone’s kids, the loss of that community and encouragement is felt even more. I’m so looking forward to reading your book!
so excited for the Colorado conference! house cleaning, yes, please!
especially now as I am on day 4 of the flu!
This is fabulous. I love your ministry hearts and am so EXCITED to get this book. I’m waiting to hear back from a group of girls right now to see if they’re all as thrilled as I am about diving into this study! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I thought some days were hard with just one..now the mother of 2 I laugh at those previous ‘hard’ days. This book sounds very encouraging
Wow! A year full of housecleaning! That would be so awesome! I so appreciate your ministry!
As the mom of two little ones, I am anxious to read Desperate. I had tears in my eyes just reading the No More Desperate Moms Resolution. Thank you…
I would really like to share this book with a friend. I LOVED it!
I can’t wait to receive my book and dig in. Thank you Sally and Sarah Mae!
I can’t wait to read this!!!
A year of housecleaning!! What a great giveaway!! Count me in!!
wow, I need this book (and the housecleaning!!) because I’m 8 months pregnant with my 3rd and homeschooling the older two, and I have no idea how I am going to do this next year with a newborn. So thankful for God’s grace that will meet there when I get to that point…
I’d have time to read this with a year of free houskeeping!!!! Thank you Sally for ALL your encouragement. I will miss not seeing you at Momheart in February.
I am so excited about this book and can’t wait to get a copy. God Bless
This book is already changing my life…thank you! I blogged about it here…http://trinaholden.com/2013/01/no-more-desperate-moms/
Thanks for writing another book! I can’t wait to read it!
Thank you for your ministry to my spirit and by default, to my family, Sally and Sarah Mae. Your written words have been life giving and I’m looking forward to reading this book.
I just told my mom last week that I don’t have time to breathe, with being a pastor’s wife, homeschooling my three older kids, and having a newborn. It has been a tough fall, and desperate is exactly how I feel. She said, “Then you need to pre-order Sally’s new book!” I can’t wait to open my Kindle tomorrow morning and start reading!!
Sally, I did not grow up in a Christian home, and from the moment I discovered Mission of Motherhood…you became my mentor. Since I’ve read many more of your books, and have a the rest on my 2013 booklist. This book is an answered prayer to me!
I can’t wait to read this one. I love your ministry to moms, and as someone who is digging in deep into the trenches of motherhood (with a 4 year old, 23 month old, and 5 month old–yikes!), I’m pretty sure this will be right up my alley. I think I’m going to blog my way through your book too!
A year of FREE housecleaning? That is brilliant! Thank you for the opportunity to win. And I look very forward to reading your new book, Sally. I have been so encouraged and shaped by you over the years. xo
Yes. This. Love the encouragment I have just recieved scrolling through the comments. Though we are each “alone” in our own homes: loving, caring for, cooking for, teaching, losing sleep over these little ones (and their daddies!) in our flock, we are part of a huge warrior army fighting for the kingdom in EVERY little act of service we do. Go forth and live fully mommas!! (:
I am excited for this book because I think every parent has moments when they feel desperate–it is a journey that is often overwhelming! How wonderful to have experienced moms to share their wisdom!
I blogged about this giveaway!
http://thescarlettthread.blogspot.com/2013/01/desperate-moms-amazing-giveaway-from.html
I am a homeschooling momma of three and am just plain worn out. I struggle to keep my head above water with teaching three different levels (almost middle school, elementary and preschool) as well as do therapy with our dyslexic daughter daily and speech therapy daily with our 3 year old. I am always encouraged and uplifted when I read your books and now your blog. I know I am doing this for an eternal purpose but it is hard when you are in the trenches. Someday I know I will look back and miss all of this. Thank you for speaking to our hearts.
So, so, so excited about this book! And blessed to be able to attend the Irvine conference in Feb. Sweet Sally, you have blessed and encouraged me for so many years bringing up my children, and I look forward to sharing this book with new moms and veteran moms as we begin our book study in March. You are cherished!
I can’t wait to read your new book! I’m momma to three littles with the youngest being only 5 months old. Trying to homeschool my 1st grader, keep up with a VERY busy 4 year old, and meet the needs of a nursing baby is proving to be quite the challenge. I’m finding myself sinking into the desperate hole, but am trying to claw my way past it and persevere.
Five kiddos 10 and under with the last two being 18 month old b/g twins! They are mobile now which is a WHOLE NEW WORLD… Thanks for the opportunity to win! May God continue to use you as you mentor moms on their journey!
Looking forward to reading this book! Yay!
can’t wait to start this book!!! beyond blessed to have found you Sally…i have 3 little ones and i’m daily refreshed by your blog and books….thank you!!!!
I am so excited about this book, and I can’t wait to get a copy and read it!! I am a homeschooling mom to 2 wonderful, wild boys. Sometimes it seems like I can never get everything taken care of.
I Am looking forward to this book, Mrs.Clarkson’s books have been so inspiring, I’m looking forward to the conference, and could use the house cleaning.
I know what it feels like to be desperate!
Desperate for God is best kind of desperate.
I think this tittle is very intriguing. I want to read this book. I appreciate your simple emails to make me think.
I am looking forward to reading this book–great title!
Can’t wait to get this book! I moved to tears just listening to Sally’s sweet encouragement on the video.
This is definitely one I need to read!
I am loving this book, it is ministering to my heart immensly!! It is speaking to my soul, and is so encouraging. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to finish it and get started!
Blessings,
Adrienne
I hope to get this book soon, it sounds good.
Very much looking forward to reading the new book!!! Would LOVE to win a free year of housecleaning!!!
Looking forward to reading this book — the title definitely speaks to me!
So thankful for a sweet spirited offering like this for young moms. Now if only I could find a soft place for a weary and worn 49 year-old homeschooling momma to land, ha. My youngest are twelve year old twins, and I surely could have used a tender touch and some real help when they were born. What am I saying? Just today I whispered to myself, “I just can’t do this today.” But here we are, nearing the day’s end, and God was faithful today, like always. I may feel like I’m getting through a day on a tiny, fragile thread, but it’s always connected to the Almighty and He won’t let me go. Thanks for blessing moms with your understanding and compassion!
I am looking forward to reading this book. As a busy homeschooling mom to 4, I often find myself feeling desperate! I appreciate your willingness to follow God in writing this book! I’m sure it will be a blessing to many!
Thank you for the new book full of wisdom and encouragingment! God bless you!
winter is the hardest time as a mom/homeschooler to keep on keeping on, encouragement is so welcome
Thanks Sally!! I need this book to encourage me during the hard days:)
Thanks for reminding us it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Sally, your words nurture and heal. You are a treasure to me.
I’m excited to read this book because sometimes as a mom I do just feel desperate. And I’d love to hear Sally and Sarah Mae’s God-breathed words on mothering.
This book is going to be a great way to start the year!!!
A clean house would be great also ; )
Thanks for the book and the great giveaway!
Excited about the book and the conference!
Not the first time I’ve blogged about your influence on my life, Sally.
http://lovecovers.webs.com/apps/blog/show/21706869-standing-on-the-shoulders-of-giants-
Loving the book so far. And the video links at the end of each chapter are such a nice touch!
I am so looking forward to reading this book as I always benefit from renewing my mind to what God has called me to as a mom.
I am looking forward to reading the book so that I can be better equipped to minister to women around me.
House cleaning! You have my attention!
I need this book for encouragement not to give up when I am desperate…
Need to be reminded that I’m not the only one who feels desperate at times.
Going to get this book for my daughter-in-law. So many little ones can distract our gaze and tire our minds and bodies. Thank you for this book.
would love this book so I could review it on my blog! and would really love the house cleaning so I could … um… sleep instead of clean.
I need this book, because I want to read it! And because I’m a mama of 3 little ones, and…
Regardless, I’m looking forward to reading this book in the near future. Thank you, Sally (and Sarah Mae), for continuing to bless so many of us moms.
I cant wait to get this book …. and hopefully start a small group study! Thank you for pouring your heart into helping mama’s.
…the title describes just what I feel
I want this book because I want to learn all I can!
How can I join this movement?
“In the last thirteen months we have moved four times, had three new addresses, four new phone numbers, two new jobs, our first grandbaby was born, we sold a house, bought a house, traveled to five different states, volunteered at YWAM-Salem, made new friends, left a church family, found a new church family, schooled our children that are still at home, attended the wedding of our second daughter… and we wonder why our heads are spinning!”
The above opened our Christmas update 2012. I need to Breathe!
Excited to read the book! God bless you!
So excited to read this book! Thanks for taking time to mentor and to write!
More than the book I really need a community that I can trust and fall in love with.

Yes please, I am a desperate mama! Thank the Lord for His grace and you using your gifts from Him.
What a fabulous giveaway! I recently attended a baby shower for a Baby#2 & the new parents were given a gift of housecleaning & I thought “what a fabulous gift!” As I’m expecting Baby#2 in April I secretly asked in my heart for the same gift
Looking forward to reading the book!
Can not wait to pick up my copy of Desperate, as it certainly is the way I’m feeling these days. I’m hoping to start up a group this month to share life together in the trenches. Thank you Sally!
Looking forward to studying with my dear friends at church, love the launch and giveaways, very cool! Congratulations Sally and Sarah Mae!

Would l love to win this. Sure could use encouragemnt and gentle conversation
The book sounds great! I struggle the most with finding balance between having fun with my kids and trying to teach them to be disciplined.
I am in need of some encouragement.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this book because I am desperate. I just read the excerpts on Amazon and I think Sarah Mae was writing my story – her ideals = mine, her responses = mine, even her own mom = mine. And sweet Sally, if I can’t have you for my very own personal mentor, then prayerfully this book will be the next best thing
There are a lot of things no one tells you about parenting. One of those things is how very lonely it can be. Especially in Christian circles, there is a lot of pressure to look perfect. It’s a lie and it’s harmful. Reading about the struggles of a mom who honestly shares what’s hard in her life–as well as the advice of her mentor–is refreshing and really needed. Thank you!
to help my mom
I am searching for a new way to find balance.
thank you Sally! can’t wait to read your new book.
I would love to take my friend, Kristina, on the retreat! She has 10 children and does an awesome job mothering, but would love to see her get away:)
Would love to win a year of housecleaning! Thanks for your ministry to moms!
Thank you Mrs. Sally for your faithfulness to mentor all of us mothers, especially those of us who haven’t found our “real life, in-person” mentor yet. Your words are such a blessing to me, and encourage me when I need it the most! I am in a time of seeking The Lord for where He wants me to serve next, and your words today reminded me that it’s His plan, not mine. He may want me to serve in a different place or He might want me to stay right where I am and continue His work. Ultimately it’s His work to be done!
I need to read this book to remind myself that I need to breathe and be joyful in serving my family.
i need a breath of fresh air for this season…and i have been so looking forward to this book for several months! so excited to read it!
I need this book because I have four children age 7 months to 6 years. I home school the oldest and most days, I look back and realize that I forgot to breathe! I can hardly wait to crack open this book.
I’d like this book as a reminder of my great calling as a mother. Also, to remember that I’m not the only desperate mother out there!
So many new moms out there who could use this book. I would give the cleaning to my best friend!
This would be a perfect book for me as a mommy of 6 little ones!
