The year was 1998. I was a mom of three young children, who suffered with asthma and ear infections and normal child-ness. We’d had a particularly overwhelming day, and I could see the evidence of it everywhere! There had been too much laundry, too many dishes, too many messes and more tears than should have been necessary.

In the midst of it, my sweet husband–ever the one to look for a solution!– said, “Honey, I know this is hard. What would help you?

I wiped my eyes, lifted my head, thought a moment, and gave him the list.

Chocolate.

Clean sheets.

A lovely luncheon that someone else prepared … and cleans up after.

And some messages that really encourage me and help me have a vision–not ones that make me feel guilty and give me a list of a million things I’m doing wrong!”

And so, dear friends, the MomHeart Conference was born.

This year our theme is “I Take Hope!” My newest book releases in January. Written with my dear friend SarahMae, Desperate is a book all about learning to breathe and find hope in the amazing promises of God as you walk with your children. We will have guest speakers, clean sheets, a lovely luncheon, a wonderful book table, and even chocolate! My dream is to fill this generation of moms with a vision for what God might do through their families if they will cling to Him and trust and build faithfully into the lives of their children.  Won’t you join us?

Hotel and Conference Information
Conference Schedule: Check-in for each of the events begins at 1:00PM on Friday. Afternoon workshops begin at 3:00PM and 4:00PM that afternoon. Guests are on their own for dinner. The first main conference session is 7:00-10:00PM that night. The second session is 8:45-11:45AM Saturday morning, followed by a lovely banquet luncheon. The final conference session is 2:00-4:30PM that afternoon. I will be the main speaker for all main sessions, along with a special keynote speaker for sessions 1 and 2, and noted workshop leaders.
PossibiliTea (Separate Event): There is also a Friday morning pre-conference PossibiliTea at each of the conferences from 9:30-11:30 AM. This special time with me will focus on personal insights about motherhood, Mom Heart Ministry, and how to be develop your own small group, as well as hearing stories from those already in groups, and how they are being encouraged and growing. Space will be very limited and attendance will require a separate $25.00 registration fee. I know this is going to be one of the best conferences we’ve ever had! So grab a girlfriend or five, your own mom, your teenage daughter, even your grandma and come spend a weekend with me as we learn together how to find hope in the Lord!
