How I love the ocean–listening to the thunder, grasping the power! This is in my mind as I go to California–to ponder these thoughts.

We moved to Colorado from Huntington Beach, CA 3 1/2 years ago. The one thing I miss (besides the people) is the ocean. It is a beautiful reminder of the glorious power of our God!
Along those lines, I’ve been meditating lately on the power of the cross. A verse from a hymn that is a favorite of mine says:
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
It is a glorious thought! Our sin has been paid in full! Oh the power and the love shown at the cross!
Oh, how I wish we could enjoy that same sound together while you are here Sally. I’d love to sit on a blanket pondering the Lord, family and life together. You are so dear to me. Even if I don’t make it this weekend I’ll be there in spirit and praying continuously. May you be abundantly blessed and refreshed in the midst of a very busy season.
